News of the day

My dad is a newspaper reporter, so reading the news is going to be a big deal for me. So far, I've had my share of media attention around the Capitol. The Capitol Morning Report (subscription required), wrote about me in yesterday's edition:

Sacramento Bee Capitol reporter Kevin Yamamura and his wife, Mackenzie, became parents yesterday afternoon. Finnian Tysell Yamamura was born at Kaiser South Sacramento weighing 8 pounds and 3 ounces and he was 19.5 inches long. Dad says mom and Finn are healthy and happy. The Yamamuras didn't ask the doctor beforehand if a boy or a girl was in store, but they did do a little survey among friends and family before his arrival. Yamamura says 72% responded "boy" as yesterday's "exit poll confirmed."

My favorite Capitol blog, Capitol Alert, noted my arrival yesterday. The popular Capitol website Rough and Tumble also made my birth the post of the day!

And after the star of Kindergarten Cop sent his congratulations on Twitter, other people passed it on in different languages. For instance, there was this, in Spanish:
